Thanks To Everyone for Donating This Past Year!

And thanks to everyone who attended and donated at the LaRose event honoring organist Trudy Pitts  in early December. We made $900!

Your help has really made a difference in the assistance we can provide for our local musicians and singers. To give back to you, our fabulous supporters, the board has decided to give a special thanks to the people who have given over $100 this year. Each and every one of you will be receiving a Jazz Bridge gold card, which will give you free admission into ALL of our events in 2011!

The year isn't over yet, so if you still want to donate, click here.

Ralph BowenAppearing at the Cheltenham Art Center, 439 Ashbourne Rd, Cheltenham, PA on January 5th will be saxophonist Ralph Bowen and his band: bassist Mike Richmond, pianist Jim Ridl, and drummer Chris Brown. Bowen has made his mark on the New York jazz scene for over two decades, while bringing his "casual perfectionism" to clubs, concert halls, and festivals worldwide. Bowen's discography of over 60 titles includes collaborations with Orrin Evans, Michel Camilo, and Horace Silver. His latest CD Due Reverence has been receiving terrific reviews...come see what all the excitement is about! Denis DiBlasio
*******************************
Tradition has it that every January, multi-talented reed mannis DiBlasio plays the Collingswood Community Center at 30 E. Collings Ave, in Collingswood, NJ, and this year will be no different. So, on January 6th, Denny and his band - guitarist Brian Betz, bassist Steve Varner and drummer Jim Miller - will be stirring up their usual trouble. Denis DiBlasio was trumpeter Maynard Ferguson's music director for five years, and he now is executive director of the Maynard Ferguson Institute of Jazz at Rowan University. Voted best bari saxophonist on the Downbeat Magazine Poll twice in the last decade, DiBlasio has nine highly acclaimed recordings on Dreambox Media. Come on out and have some fun!

Also, just a little bit of nostalgia for all of you out there who remember New Year's Eve 1965 to 1966. Here's Johnny Carson handing off the counting chores to the late, great Ben Grauer in Times Square... Enjoy!

Please check out our Web site to discover all that Jazz Bridge has been doing and email us if you have any questions, wish to volunteer, or want to help with fundraising. We sure could use the help! And make time to attend our neighborhood concerts around the area: Your support for the music, supports the musicians.
