| What to Do While You Wait |

August 2012
Guess where this month's newsletter article idea was born? After spending some time waiting for an appointment and looking at uninteresting magazines for quite some time, it became clear that we can accomplish many little things that we often put off doing because we don't have the time to do them. Of course, many people enjoy this time to turn off their brains and just relax ... and that's important too. This month we offer a few ways to pass the time while you are waiting.

DeCarlo Studios Redesigns Web Site for Northern Virginia Lawn and Landscape Services, Inc.
DeCarlo Studios recently redesigned a web site for Northern Virginia Lawn and Landscape Services, Inc. of Chantilly, Virginia. It features the many lawn and yard care programs that the company offers for both residential and commercial properties. The website also reflects their longstanding company history and background, which is built upon strong customer service and satisfaction. Many customers are very conscious of the products used on their lawns, so there is also a page of resources which lists the ingredients in their different chemical and organic product applications. We highly recommend Northern Virginia Lawn and Landscape Services, Inc. for all of your lawn and yard care needs. | | Web site "Before" |

5 Productive Things to Do While You Are Waiting Everyone has been in situations at one time or another where they've had to wait. Maybe you are in a doctor's office waiting room. Maybe you are waiting while your child is at a sports practice. In many cases, sometimes you are waiting longer than expected. What can you do to pass the time while you are away from your business to remain productive? Here are a few ideas to help pass the time. Being Productive While Away from Your Office Just because you are away from your office does not mean that all work is on hold. There are many things you can do to remain productive. Just take a moment to make a list of all the little things that you can never seem to find time to do. Once you start something, you will be surprised at how quickly time flies! - Write your company's newsletter. Or just write down some ideas for future newsletters.
- Read a book about improving your business. One of our favorite series is the "Instant Success" series by Action Coach.
- Look at your web site on a mobile device (if internet is available) and look for ways to improve it. Takes notes on small things you can do to improve your web site that you can implement later.
- Make friends with the person next to you. You never know where you may meet your next new client or find your next big lead.
- Simply enjoy the down time. Sometimes our chance to do nothing is rare, and a break from work can leave you refreshed and invigorated for when you return to the office.
