iPad Presentations
Tony DeCarlo PhotoJuly 2012

An iPad can be a valuable tool for presenting your business to a new or existing customer. iPads are small, so they are portable, yet still provide crisp, clean images that can be presented to both small and large groups. You can really "WOW" your existing and potential clients with them. (Not to mention all of the "Apps" that can help make your life easier!) Let's take a look at ways you can use the iPad to create effective presentations ...

Keynote Presentation Using Your iPad for Presentations

So, you're the proud owner of an iPad. You've downloaded a few "Apps", played a few games and surfed the internet. Now you want to use it to benefit your business and bring new business to you.

Keynote Presentations

The iPad has a wonderful program built into it called "Keynote". It's Apple's® version of Power Point®. Open it up and browse around and you will find it very easy to quickly put together a great presentation about your business. Because iPads are small and portable, it's a great tool to use when you are having a one-to-one or small group table meeting. For larger presentations, it is easily adaptable with a Dock Connector to VGA Adapter (for about $30) for larger, on-screen displays. Here are some tips when putting together your Keynote Presentation.

  • Keep the text on your slides short and simple. Be brief and to the point. Get your main message across quickly, and highlight only the main ideas. You can elaborate on these points as you are speaking.
  • Rehearse your presentation. Keep it at your pre-determined time limit. Rehearse it in different environments and test out your equipment, especially when using it as a large display. Set up early to allow for any troubleshooting issues that may arise.
  • Keep your fonts simple and consistent throughout the presentation. Choose a font size that is readable and not too large or small. Script fonts are hard to read, unless they are reserved for large headlines only. Tie in your logo, company colors and branding.
