Dear All,
As summer slips away into the light, September comes in to remind us that change is always around us. It's a change from the happy, carefree days of being outside to coming back in and focusing on our work. For many of us it connects to the "back to school" energy of our youth.... new adventures.. new friends.. new books and pencils.. new ideas. It's a time of renewed hope and faith as we see the cycles of life continuing. It's a time of harvest for the work we started earlier in the year.
Yet, changing routines can certainly create anxiety and in many cases great
stress. Many of us welcome the fall as a chance to get back into a
routine and find our discipline. And, many of us fight it for those long blissful beach days... that would be me this year!
Yet, time continues.. as the seasons do. So like it or not, we must go with this flow of change.
The cosmic energy of the summer has stirred up lots of issues for many of us. Just like the giant waves of the beach this summer, the giant waves of life can overtake us too! The stresses and struggles of the world are still around us. Many are still in financial struggles, loss of jobs, benefits, income, relationships... yet life challenges us to go on.. to find the peace with in that gives us the strength. Making the changes that we need can be quite overwhelming! How does one do it when the rest of the world keeps saying hold on.. it will get better soon? How does one let go and move on when all are saying .. no not now wait until the economy changes?
In trying to answer these questions for myself and others, I can across this quote by Audre Lorde..
"When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid."
So I offer this as a way to find the strength within to have a vision of your path... to have a power within your spirit... to stand up for yourself and live your life by the call of your spirit. To follow that inner voice and let go of the fear. Just for today.. as Reiki teaches us.. let go and listen to what your own divine soul has to offer in the midst of adversity and then slowly but surely follow that soul.
This month at the Healing Studio we will be getting back into full swing following the Jewish holidays and the retrograde energy. Our Reiki circles will be back as well as other groups and classes, full moon and equinox celebrations.
In October we have a few new events including Tiokasin Ghosthorse, an traditional red cedar flute player from the Lakota nation with his band Matou at the Landmark Theater and a full Ishaya Ascension weekend with Michael.
I will soon be posting an online schedule so keep and eye out for that. But for now, you can find our events updated on Facebook at the Healing Studio.

Reiki 1 Certification Class:

This level 1 class is a permanent attunement of Reiki. Once attuned, it allows the person to channel Reiki energy for healing one's self. History and principles are covered in this first level class as well as an introduction to the energy system of the body. The first degree is the foundation of all three degrees. Class includes manual and certificate.

Reiki 2 Certification Class:
Sunday - October 3rd

Learn the Reiki symbols and protocols. Included are techniques for Long Distance Healings. Two more attunements in raising the vibration are offered. This class is appropriate for anyone that wants to deepen their practice with Reiki. Must have a Reiki 1 certificate. Class in includes manual and certificate. $275.00
Reiki Techniques and Practice

Experience and practice Reiki techniques to improve and deepen your skills. This class is for those already attuned to the energy of Reiki. We will discuss protocals, practice breathing techniques, and running energy.

Reconnecting with Reiki
Reiki is a very "forgiving" energy in that even if you haven't used it in a while, you can jump right by in by simply asking and placing your hands on your heart. Simply sit comfortably and allow yourself to relax. Take a few breaths and let go of holding on. Rub the palms together and ask for the energy of Reiki to return to you.
Call
upon the masters as well as your spirit guides. Ask for this return of
energy as you allow the changes that you seek to come forward. Let go
of the mind and enter into the emotions of what you are feeling. Let
go of the emotions and enter into the spirit of what you are seeking.
Feel the warmth come in through your crown and allow it to move through your body and out your hands. Feel the heart chakra come alive with energy. Feel the change that overcomes your body.
Moving your hands to the top of your head allow this energy to move through each of you chakras .. from the crown to the feet.
Let go and become one with the Universe.
Just for today.

What is
Reiki?
Reiki,
pronounced Ray-kee, is the Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy. It refers to an ancient healing system
which channels pure energy to the recipient through both a laying on of hands,
as well as a long distance etheric connection.
Reiki is a spiritual healing
art. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion.
A Reiki session
usually is between 20 and 60 minutes in length. The session is performed by a
Reiki Practitioner using Reiki hand positions. During a Reiki session, the
client is fully clothed while comfortably reclining.
A Reiki session aids in stress reduction and it is almost
always a very relaxing experience.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress, and can help support the body in the healing of major illnesses. |
