Greetings!

Thankfully, our area has managed to escape some of the craziest of the weather the rest of the country has experienced this year. However, although we haven't had any killer tornadoes, we have had many calls to solve drainage issues. Over the winter, we were able to purchase a new digger machine called a Dingo, a compact utility loader, which is small enough to fit in tight backyards. It's given us lots more flexibility and it's perfect for excavating sidewalks.

Congratulations Graduates!
Here at Steve's, we've had a bunch of our kids graduate. My son, James graduated from Middle School. Sue's son, Michael, graduated from Middle School as well, with the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Matt's son, Luke, graduated from 5th grade and won the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, and the most caring child award. Janeen's step-daughter, Amy, graduated from Thomas Jefferson University Cum Laude with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and has moved to Arizona to start her job in a trauma hospital there. Janeen's son, Daniel, graduated from 5th grade with the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Jose's daughter, Alejandra, graduated from Middle School with the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
Time for . . .
Late Spring services like:
Pruning - Most shrubs benefit from pruning after they've finished blooming. It strengthen's the root system of the plant, promotes new growth, removes dead branches, and improves the appearance of the plant.
Splitting Spring-blooming Plants - This includes grasses, irises, orchids, certain bulbs among others.
Controlling Insects & Disease - Lots of bugs out there! We have seen infestations of Army Worms, Mites, Scale, Gall, and fungus. If you notice anything amiss with your shrubs or trees, such as pods, bugs, yellowing leaves, dropping leaves, scaly-growths on the bark, etc. contact us for diagnosis and an estimate to treat the problem.
Sprinkler Service - Summer will bring high temperatures and lots of sun, so if you had your sprinklers turned on a couple of months ago, you might need a mid-season service to adjust for the more-severe weather. If you haven't turned them on yet, now's the time.
Lighting Service - Make sure your home looks it's best during this season where your neighbors are out for their evening stroll - contact us to perform a Landscape Lighting Service call. We'll straighten fixtures, reprogram the control box and replace bulbs (parts and bulbs extra) for the special price of $55.00.
Contact us today to find out more about any of the services mentioned above! Or whatever else you might need!
Happy 4th!
Thanks,
Steve
