My summer has been . . well . . .  My 11-year old son fell off his bike and dislocated his elbow.  After, we were reviewing the safety rules, and I started thinking about the hazards of the outdoors - poison ivy (which is having a banner year), wasps, skunks (my dog got sprayed this summer), bears and . . .snakes.  I saw a large garter snake at my sister's house - even when you know it's just a harmless snake, it still startles you when it goes slithering away!  Below, you'll find some information on what to do in case you are bitten by a poisonous snake.
