In difficult times printers look more than ever at ways of cutting their costs, increasing profitability and gaining additional business over their competitors. One way this can be achieved, with a relatively small outlay, is to bring certain aspects of finishing in-house. Laminating in house is one of the ways to gain more control in meeting tight deadlines, giving an edge over the competition and adding the potential for additional profit.
"Since launching the Jupiter range in 2006, which now comprises both 25 and 35m/minute single sided versions and a double sided version, we have often been asked for a low volume, lower cost option" says Hancock "primarily for SRA3 or B3 size yet with the same level of automation and ease of operation on both litho and digital output. To answer this we developed the Europa and a B3 prototype was shown IPEX 2010. As a result of feedback during the show however we decided to go into production with a B2 format."
Many printers, both litho and digital who specialise in today's print on demand market, want a fully automated low volume laminator yet have limited floor space, so we designed the Europa to have an overall footprint scarcely larger than our semi-automatic Pegasus.

In today's economic climate, cost too is very important and so the B2 Europa is modestly priced and this, linked to a very good specification and build quality have all played a part in making the Europa the fastest selling machine in our range and has reached sales of 100 machines into the UK, Europe, Middle East and the Pacific Rim.
