| New Export Contact at D&K |
 This month we are saying goodbye to our Export Administrator, Paul Raftery, who has been part of the D&K team for the last four years. Paul is taking a position with a company in the South of France and we would like to wish him all the best in his new career.
Taking over from Paul will be Emily Dutson. Emily is fluent in French and also speaks some Spanish.

| Galaxy Encapsulator | |
 The Galaxy is a modular, hot roller lamination/encapsulation unit developed with digital output in mind; whether it be paper, synthetic paper or plastic. Its configuration is designed to produce the flattest possible finish to satisfy the needs of card manufacturers and fulfilment houses. The Galaxy will process up to 2.5mm stock and has a working width of 540mm. It has been designed to take longer length rolls to improve productivity. For example at 125 microns the roll length is up to 500m. 
The Galaxy can be fitted with D&K Cutters and Feeders to make a semi or fully automated line. |

| Picture Framing/Photographic market |  You will be aware from previous newsletters that the D & K Group bought the range of mounting and laminating products, formerly branded Bienfang, from Elmers some time ago.
There has since been a protracted period of integrating these products - which had been sourced from a variety of suppliers - into the manufacturing facilities of D & K.
During this period, sales outside the Americas were left in the care of the McKim Group who had handled the range for a while on behalf of Elmers
It has now been decided to shift this responsibility to D & K Europe with effect from 1st September 2011 and existing customers have been informed.
D & K Europe is starting to put in initial stocks and Robin French, Managing Director, said ' There is a great opportunity for us here in Redditch to build up sales of this part of the D & K Group portfolio, which had, unfortunately, declined over the previous few years due mainly to enforced changes in representation. It is a market that likes consistency and we will now be able to offer this. I myself was involved in marketing the range (most of it) over 20 years ago when it had the Seal Products brand and it is interesting to see the changes that have taken place.' |
