Unfortunately, continuing increases in some of our raw materials means that we will need to closely monitor selling prices; because of our policy of limiting price increases to the minimum necessary and offering our customers the best possible pricing further increases are almost inevitable over coming months. |
| Northprint post show review |
Organisers, IIR Exhibitions, have said "Northprint 2011 was a fantastic success. Over 2,000 visitors attended throughout the three days and the halls were busy with activity and business. With Northprint covering just about every aspect of the print production workflow with 120 exhibitors, of which 35% were new to the show.

John Hancock, D&K's Sales Manager, said "Historically Northprint has always been a good show for D&K, both in terms of meeting with existing customers and discussing our product range with new contacts. This year we showed the Jupiter DS with an automatic stacker, which really is an impressive sight laminating both sides in one pass and then neatly delivering them into the stacker, but undoubtedly the Europa was the star of our show creating a lot of interest with both visitors and competitors alike!" |
| Jupiter DS debuts in Australia |
The Jupiter DS made its debut in the Southern Hemisphere at Printex exhibition in Sydney, which took place during 4-6 May.
Over 8500 visitors attended the show. As expected, 76% of visitors were from the local New South Wales market, with the remaining 24% drawn from interstate and overseas. Of those, 11% were from Victoria, 6% from Queensland and 3% from New Zealand.
The Jupiter DS , along with it's little brother the Europa, was demonstrated by Graph-Pak Pty who are based in NSW. The Jupiter DS and Europa were also featured on the Hilton Laminating stand. |

Where there's a will - there's a way! |
Printemat, D&K Distributor in Benilux, asked us to find a solution to their customer's dilemma. After demonstrations and testing the customer decided the machine for him was the Europa B2 fully automated laminator but the entrance to his premises was too small to allow the machine to go through. After some deliberations it was decided to manufacture this particular machine in such a way that, following QC testing, it was broken down so that the separate parts would fit through the doorway. A D&K engineer was on site when the machine was delivered to oversee it being moved into the customer's premises where he then reassembled and tested it. Operator training has been carried out and the customer is pleased - let's just hope he doesn't need to move premises any time soon! |
