| OPP lamination film on 57mm cores |
There has recently been an increase in the number of machines which are designated as laminators and yet take film on encapsulating standard 57mm cores.
Historically the demand for laminating films has been on 75mm cores for the larger industrial equipment or 25mm cores for desktop machines. The price of film on 25mm cores has always been much higher than that supplied on 75mm cores because it requires a further reworking process.
There is the potential for end users to save over 30% and when you take into consideration somebody switching from SOP30 on 25mm core to SOP25 on 57mm core they would save in excess of 40% We will now supply standard OPP and SuperStick films at 315mm width x 500m length on a 57mm core. Please contact us for further details and pricing. |

| IP resin - another D&K problem solver |
SuperStick® resin has established itself as the premier medium - on OPP, Nylon, polyester and PVC - for overcoming adhesion problems on a variety of difficult digital output, not just the original Xerox models for which it was designed. However, ongoing developments in digital printing technology continually offer us fresh challenges, some of which have meant that SuperStick® is not the best answer. Certain HP Indigo output has proved such a challenge and the D & K Group technical team set about developing a solution and came up with High Treat resin. On polyester film High Treat resin is now quite widely used in USA for double sided laminating of Indigo prepared PVC for card manufacture. There are a number of trials going on in Europe of IP resin - from card production to label overlaminating - and results will be reported in due course. |
