Since the launch of the Jupiter range in 2006 we have often been asked for a low volume, lower cost option.  Primarily for SRA3 or B3 size yet with the same level of automation and ease of operation on both litho and digital output.  To answer this we developed the "Europa" and a B3 prototype was shown at this year's IPEX.   As a result of feedback during the show, however, we decided to upgrade the Europa to take a B2 sheet at no additional cost.
 
Many digital printers wanting a fully automated, low volume laminator have limited floor space so we designed the Europa to have an overall footprint scarcely larger than our semi-automatic Pegasus at only 272cm x 125cm.  The automated feeder and burster type sheet separator mean that only one operator is required to run the machine with simple and easy to operate controls; it also has the benefit of low maintenance and is ideal for today's print on demand market. 
 
Installation is quick and easy with our engineers giving full operator training once the machine is installed and they are always available to give help and advice when needed.

 

The Europa has already gained multiple sales into Europe, Middle East and the Pacific Rim.

Printemat, Belgium are showing the D&K Jupiter DS, double side B2 Lamination System at this year's Grafi+Sign which takes place 12, 13 & 14th September.  This unit is receiving considerable interest from companies producing photobooks digitally.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

AVD will be showing either the Jupiter 30 or B1 Proteus at FachPack, but will also be showing the Jupiter DS at their in-house event at Freiburg during 22nd - 24th September.

The show takes place between 14-16 September and D&K Coating Technologies Inc will be located at booth #5214.  They will be highlighting our new Scuff-resistant Matt Films and custom coating capabilities.
