At Redditch, D & K Europe is using its wealth of engineering experience and print finishing application knowledge to develop customised machine solutions for a number of users.
Illustrated are 2 large format conveyor/feeders recently developed - one for a major UK customer, the other for a French trade house.
Both companies process large quantities of maps and needed to at least part automate the feeding stage.
A further project nearing fruition involves building a line for laminating high volumes of covers of hard back books, involving feeding pre-folded covers through a laminator, side-trimming with an overlap on one side which is then automatically folded and marrying up the cover with the book at the end of the line.
