 The Plastic Art Company Manchester was originally established in 1983 as a trade and retail encapsulation service, which remains their core business.
Over the years other services have been added to widen their finishing services as a result of client demand; these include wiro and plastic spiral binding, eyeletting, creasing, hole punching, slot punching and radiussing.
John Kitchingman, Managing Director said "We had been at our Chorlton Street premises for 25 years and to expand our services any more we just had to move. We had offered a small laminating operation previously alongside our other services but our new, larger premises in Temperance Street mean that we can now offer a quicker turnaround and take on longer runs of both single and double-sided lamination.
We chose the D&K Jupiter DS, a compact one/two-sided laminator, with a sheet size of up to B2, not just because of its versatility but because of our long history with D&K and their encapsulating machines we knew that we could rely on both the build quality and excellent after-sales service. The installation took place at the beginning of February and the machine is meeting all of our expectations."

At the time of implimenting the April 09 film price increase we were able to hold off on any type of increase in our carriage charges by offering a next day delivery rather than an a.m. delivery. Now, further increases in our costs mean that we must reluctantly increase our charge out rate.
