At the time of implimenting the April 09 film price increase we were able to hold off on any type of increase in our carriage charges by offering a next day delivery rather than an a.m. delivery. Now, further increases in our costs mean that we must reluctantly increase our charge out rate.

 

As of 1st May 2010 the standard rate for delivery will rise from £15 to £20.  Pallet charges will increase to £40.  Consignment film deliveries will remain free of charge.

D&K Group Inc has recently announced that it has formally acquired Bienfang Framing Products®, a global manufacturer and distributor of framing products and accessories.  This acquisition includes the Bienfang line of framing equipment, adhesives, laminates and accessories.  Bienfang® foam board products are not included in the transaction.
 
D&K was already a supplier of some of the branded products sold by the division (as well as selling a number of lines under its own name) and has a number of innovative product developments due to reach market during the year.
 
The acquisition of Bienfang Framing Products® will facilitate growth and add value to the framing market by introducing new technologies and applications.  "We are looking forward to increasing our product offerings and strategic positioning in the plaqueing, photo and framing markets.  Our associates are working closely with Bienfang to ensure a smooth transition" said Karl Singer, President of D&K Group Inc.
 
The deal - and the part that D&K Europe can play - will mean a revival in Europe of some of the best known and trusted brand names in the picture framing market;  Masterpiece and Vacuseal presses, Colormount and Fusion mounting materials, etc.

The latest addition to the D&K range is the entry level laminator - Pictor.
 
With hand feed and hand separation the Pictor can be used on a bench top or is available with an optional stand.  It is fitted with a steel top roller and heated nip roller together with a de-curl system which ensures optimum performance on single sided lamination work. 
 
The Pictor can process up to a B2 portrait or B3 landscape sheet size.  

 Pictor was designed to laminate either one side or two in a single pass with the quality you would expect from larger semi or fully automated laminators like the Pegasus, with which it shares the same chrome and nip roller configuration with the addition of heating to the nip roller for two side lamination.
