Dear Friends of Grace Babies' Home,

Not a day goes by that I do not stand in awe of God and His faithfulness to see His vision for GBH complete. The manner in which He lays it on the hearts of His people to support the vision shows His love for them by including them in His work. So many are praying, giving and serving; it is apparent that GBH is a work of His Spirit. Frankly, I am just blessed to be along for the ride. As you read this issue of Baby Talk, if you haven't already, I hope you are encouraged to jump in!

Construction Update

The septic system is finished. There is now electricity, gas, and hot water to the building. The stucco process took longer than expected, but is also finished. Much time and effort has gone into finishing one of the upstairs residences where flooring, cabinetry, toilets and fixtures have been installed and walls painted.Taping, mudding and texturing drywall has continued downstairs and security bars are installed on windows.

At Grace Babies' Home we understand that prayer is the power that fuels God's work and thwarts the blows of the enemy. In order to communicate our immediate and urgent prayer needs, we've launched a GBH Prayer Twitter Feed.  Tour Grace Babies' Home

1.     Inside Play Area - As you enter the building through the front double doors, on the right you pass the inside play area separated by a half wall on two sides. This area will be carpeted for non-walking infants and contain rocking chairs, swings, bouncy seats, etc.

2.    Outside Play Area - On your left you will pass sliding doors that access the outside play area. This patio will contain outdoor toddler play sets and climbing toys.

3.    Dining/Toddler Play Area - As you continue walking, on your left is the toddler play area. In this area will be wall-to-wall toys and books. Also in this area will be toddler tables and seating for meals and snacks.

4.      Children's Restroom - Directly off the play area is a children's restroom. This restroom will have two low toilets and sinks designed for potty training and hand washing.

5.     Kitchen - Across from the toddler play area is the kitchen. This area is designed to have countertops that circle out around the kitchen so that 10 high chairs can be attached to the outside counters.

6.    Restroom - As you continue down the hall you pass an

adult restroom on the left. It is wheelchair accessible for future ministry to the elderly.

7.  Pantry - Across from the restroom is a very large pantry/storage area. It is accessible from the kitchen and from the hall as we plan to install a toddler gate between the living area and the rest of the home.

8.        Bathing - Continuing down the hall on the left is the bathing room. It is will have two bathtubs at counter height, changing tables, and wall-to-wall cabinetry and storage for clothing and diapers.

9.    Laundry - Directly across from the bathing room is the laundry room. It is plumbed for two washers and dryers. There will also be wall-to-wall cabinetry and storage in this room for linens.

10.  Nurseries - Past the laundry and bathing rooms are four nurseries - two on each side. They are designed to fit five cribs or toddler beds in each.

11.  Bedrooms/Bathroom - At the end of the hall are two bedrooms and a bathroom for YUGO Interns (short-term, female missionary volunteers).

Sponsor a Baby

In order to meet our projected operating budget, GBH needs monthly baby sponsors. We are currently at 10% of our goal. If you feel called to support this ministry with your finances, your $40 monthly partnership will help feed, clothe and care for the needs of an orphaned baby while contributing to the monthly operations of the home.  Click here to sponsor a baby now.
