In the Spotlight - Jennifer
Jennifer is the oldest child in our family. She came to GCH with her 4 younger siblings over 3 years ago. Jennifer was broken, hard-hearted and humiliated. At GCH, she has received love, attention, and a chance to heal. Now Jennifer is a wonderful, God-loving, hard working young lady. Thanks to her generous sponsor, she attends a private Jr. High school that is providing her with an incredible education. She works diligently in her studies, but she also has compassion for her classmates and sees their need to know Jesus. Jennifer actively shares Christ with her friends. She invites them to Bible studies at GCH and has seen some of them come to the Lord. This summer Jennifer plans to be baptized in the ocean. When she is older, she wants to serve the Lord in ministry full-time. We thank God for bringing Jennifer into our family and for all that He has done in her life. Please remember to pray for Jennifer and the other wonderful kids at GCH.

Sponsor a Child Today
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world". James 1:27 Every child needs 13 sponsors to provide for their care. This care is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. NONE of our children are 100% sponsored. Please consider sharing your love, prayers and financial support for one or more of our children at GCH. For $30 a month you can fulfill God's call to look after orphans. Swine Flu Quarantine
On Monday, April 27th our children were sent home from school due to
the Swine Flu epidemic. Shortly thereafter we received word from the
Social Services that our kids were to stay away from the general public
and that we were not to take outside visitors. Though we did not make
light of a serious situation, we made the best of it. We seized the
opportunity to spend quality time with our GCH family. We played
games, did arts and crafts, filled up the pools, took walks, played
dress-up, and so much more. Once again God was faithful to protect us
from harm.

Construction Progress
With groups from Westgate Community Church and Guest Helpers, construction progress has been steady at GCH. Much needed storage was built under the deck. A second exit has been installed in the Boys Home. Railings were built. Various odd jobs and painting have been tended to around the property. As a result of many of these efforts, GCH is now a safer place to raise our family. We are so thankful for these teams that continue to use their talents faithfully serving GCH.

Three New Boys
In March the DIF arrived with three adorable boys: Angel, Jesús, and Gilberto (ages three, two and one). The GCH staff worked quickly to gather cribs, high chairs and other baby paraphernalia. Within a few hours baby gates were installed and schedules were set for the 24-hour care these babies would need. They all received immediate medical attention, as they were sick and malnourished upon their arrival. Their heads were shaved and treated for lice. They were bathed and fed.
While our staff graciously poured out their lives for these precious boys, we watched God do miracles of healing. The DIF has recently placed all three boys in families. We are thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to love them while they were here. We will continue to love them in their absence by remembering them in our prayers.

We Have Water!
Up to this point we have had our water trucked in everyday. The cost
for this is $23 per day, over $700 per month. After three years of
prayer and waiting, God brought us city water. The city water supply is
consistent and it is free to us because we are an orphanage. Please
join us in praise to the Lord for this huge blessing.

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16
The greatest contributions you can make to Grace Children's Home are your prayers. Please remember to make GCH a priority in your daily prayers. Here are a few ways you can be praying for us:
Protection - that God would protect GCH from all physical and spiritual harm. Provision - that God would provide for every need at GCH. Power - that God's power would be shown in and through the lives of the children at GCH. Purpose - that GCH would purpose to be about the Father's business in everything. Peace - that God's peace would fill GCH in order that it would flow out to the community.
