 As a stylist, I frequently have clients tell me, in an effort to save money I suppose, that they apply their own relaxers
to their hair. Or better yet they have trusted the very complicated hair straightening process to their best friend, cousin or sister. Whenever I hear that I think back to beauty school and how long I studied to understand the relevancy of amino acids, cysteine bonds, hydrogen and disulfide bonds to hair.
