Kenya Stone has been a creative artist in the beauty industry for 15 years. She started her artistic journey as a nail technician and has since become one of the most sought after hair stylist in the Northeast. Kenya joined the elite team of Alexander Myles Salon & Spa in 2006.
Kenya has an eye for unique style that sets her apart from other stylist. She has the ability to creatively transform clients and fulfill their hair care needs. Her specialities include hair extensions, thermal straightening, custom color as well as razor cutting.

 Dear Client,
Fall is officially here and to prove it just take a look how the leaves have changed to the beautiful colors of autumn. Many changes are happening at Alexander Myles Salon & Spa, too! We have finally launched our new website - check out all the great info there. This month our focus is on giving back. We have started our new "Client Clinics" this month. Our purpose is two-fold. First, to educate our clients and second to interest them in trying new services all for FREE! Be sure to check out the details on our website under the heading, "Salon Promos." Everyone at Alexander Myles Salon & Spa is very excited about our new "Extreme Makeover" Contest. I don't need to tell you where to go for more info on that, do I?
In an effort to continue our focus on community service, we have partnered with a local shelter for battered women. We will provide free beauty services on a monthly basis to women who live at the shelter. We hope that by making them look more beautiful it will instill a positve self image as well as empower them. In honor of Thanksgiving, Alexander Myles has adopted a family. We are committed to helping this family have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal during a very challenging time for them. If you would like to assist us with our effort, we welcome it. Feel free to drop off any can or dry goods to the salon.

You, too, can have "Good Hair."
 When Chris Rock came out with his movie "Good Hair", I just chuckled a bit and thought there goes those dirty little words again. Obviously, Chris Rock felt that these words were so loaded with controversy that he made a documentary about it. His expose' of the black hair world is hilarious, but explores our love-hate relationship with our hair. We should ask ourselves what does it really means to have "good hair." As a hairstylist, one of my life's missions is to ensure that we change the social definition and let every woman know that she, too, can have "good hair" even if she doesn't have Indian in her family. Below is my "Good Hair Creed." Pass it on!
I believe that the hair I was born with makes me uniquely me.
I believe my hair enhances the beauty I already posess.
I believe that my hair does not define me.
I believe that taking care of my hair makes it "GOOD".

Please help us help others
We have adopted a family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. It is a family of 6; mom, dad, 1 girl (17), and 3 boys (5) (13) (2). The father is the only one working. The mother stays home to care for the recently diagnosed 2 year old Autistic son. The father does not make very much money and has difficulty supporting his family of 6. The family lives right here in Wilmington. The mother, who is a wonderful person, really just wants the best for her family. It has become a huge challenge for the family to get accustomed to their son's diagnosis. It is our hope that Alexander Myles Salon & Spa, along with our client,s can take some of the pressure off this family by providing a wonderful Thanksgiving. We would love your help by donating can and dry goods.
