Gel Nails: A Natural Look at Your Fingertips |
 If you have been planning to try artificial nails, among the best choices are gel nails. Other types of artificial nails include fiberglass nails, linen nails and of course the ever so popular acrylic. However, clients and nail techs often prefer gel nails since they often look more natural and glossier compared to other types of nail enhancements. These nails are made using a unique no-odor mixture of polymer and monomer gel. A pre-mixed combination of these two are used to create the gel nails with an ultra violet light being used in order to cure the nails. When comparing gel nails to acrylic nails and other types of nail overlays, they generally cost a little more, however, if you want to have glossy, natural-looking nails, you won't be disappointed with gel nail enhancements. The application of gel nails or gel overlays on natural nails is a much quicker process as compared to acrylic. There is little or no filing done to the client's own nails which in turn reduces damage to the nail bed. Gel nails can be made to lengthen the look of your nails and to make them more durable. If you are known to have brittle nails or uneven looking nails, gels are a good choice. They can even go on your toes to enhance your pedicure!
