Sunshine
It's not the size of our dreams - it's our dedication to them!
Greetings!

logo Just two years ago I was confused and my energy and my focus were completely scattered.

I began looking for advisers and help within the community. I found WESST, where special women helped me find focus and clarity about my skills and training. I found the SBA and SCORE where mentors taught me how to plan and prioritize.

Dedication is a funny thing. It's not voraciously hanging on to a concept or method, unbending, unyielding as if you cannot see outside of that "box". Dedication is about having that dream or plan and exploring all the ways in which it could expand to include other ideas and people; or holding that dream in your heart with a kind of vision that softens any doubt or opposition.

Dedication is a dynamic thing, not a static (or stubborn) thing!

looking forward
Observation is a powerful tool:

Much of what we learn is by observation - of other businesses, other people, other systems. When we like something, we tuck that image away in our memory and pull it out later to help shape our decisions.

I have a saying, "RESPOND, NOT REACT". I like it, especially when working with horses or students. And, it is a powerful mantra for a business owner!

Staying true to one's dream (dedicated), observing what works for others and what resonates for oneself and (with a deep breath) being sure to respond to situations and people rather than reacting will keep the focus, clarity and ability to prioritize strong and functioning!

I love what I am doing. I love my partners (my horses!) in this dream and have much still to learn, create and love ahead. If you are feeling stuck in anything, allow yourself the option of sharing your dream with those who truly want to support and teach you. These mentors and organizations exist everywhere... the only thing you have to lose is the sense of isolation you might be feeling.

At Dharmahorse we are feeding our dreams and want to share our philosophy, discoveries and joy with you:
