Gentle People,
Gentle Horses
Greetings!

logoIs he broke? Is he Gentle? Is he bombproof?
We've heard these labels for horses & often formed an expectation according to descriptions or even complaints about a specific horse's reactions and manners.
Clearly, we need some terminology to express what a horse is likely to do in situations - but I find that horses are more likely to respond to the human beside or on him than to actual situations.

The Dharmahorse Way is the Body, Mind & Spirit Way of considering horses - it is finding relationship with them. When you have a physical problem going on with yourself or your horse; it can often have roots in the mental or emotional aspects of the person or the equine. The same is true for some problems with the mind; if there is pain in the body, it does not lead to a happy frame of mind!

We are offering our Equine Body/Mind/Spirit Consult at 50% off through the month of April! Now you can have a consultation with Katharine Lark Chrisley, Natural Health Counselor, Reiki Master Teacher and Equine Specialist for only $142.50! You will gain insight into the reasons behind a horse's actions and reactions. You will be able to ask direct questions by phone about behavior, health, training and care. This is a savings of $142.50 on a priceless opportunity to know horses better in general and your own horse in particular.

Gentle ways create Gentle horses

Horses are basically "flight not fight" in their reactions to situations. If they feel anxious as babies, their dams (Mothers) will comfort them. This tactic is one observed throughout Nature. If we find ourselves with a frightened horse, punishing him will NOT serve to create confidence with us or with the situation! Gentleness (not passivity, but confident self control on our part with compassion) will strengthen his bond with us as a trusted leader and partner.

Consistency & Clarity are keys to schooling any horse in any discipline.

Healing Horses
Alignment of Energies

There are so many ways to support the good health and healing of our horses. The use of Herbs in many different forms (this is a photo of using Moxabustion on an Acupoint to help this gelding recover from EPM) are ancient in their applications and effectiveness.

At Dharmahorse, we run an Herbal Stable Yard - we have put together our 40+ years of Katharine's experiences into books and ebooks as well as the newsletter archives and the many articles in national magazines...
