Preschool Programs
We offer licensed recreation center-based preschool programs that provide children with the opportunity to explore, examine, and discover developmental skills while enabling independent thinking and hands-on activity.

Programs Offered at Schools
We conduct before school programs at many elementary and middle schools. We also operate after school programs at every elementary school in Virginia Beach! These programs emphasize the importance of physical activity, and combine high energy games with play time. Events such as talent shows, special guests and tournaments help to make these programs extra special.

Programs Offered at Recreation Centers
Just like the programs we conduct at the schools, the recreation center after school programs are high-energy. But mix in the recreation center amenities like the swimming pools, extra large gyms, sportwalls and game rooms, and you know your child will have a blast!

Bonus! Recreation Center Membership

As an added convenience, Out-of-School Time participants in our school-year program will receive a Virginia Beach Recreation Center membership. This Out-of-School Time bundled membership grants access to any of our recreation centers between Sept 1, 2012 and Aug 31, 2013.

Our large recreation centers also have indoor playgrounds in the game room for ages 3-12. Each game room has scheduled program hours when the game room is available and staffed. The program hours and amenities for each center are available here.

Use of the game room does require a recreation center membership or day pass. Note that children age 5 & under must be directly supervised by someone age 16 or older at all times. Youth age 6-8 may participate during scheduled program hours until 8 pm as long as there is someone age 16 or older in the building.
