School's Almost Out - Keep the Kids Active!

Girl DancingVirginia Beach Public Schools begin summer break this Friday. If you're still looking for ideas to keep your kids active this summer, we have dozens of fitness, dance and martial arts classes to choose from. Here are a few highlights from our Summer Catalog:

Tumbling and dance classes start as young as 3 years old
Martial arts classes starting at 8 years old
Hydro Teens, our newest water fitness class for ages 12-17
Amateur Boxing for ages 8 to 17
Kida Yoga for ages 7 to 12

In addition to our registered classes, kids can take any of our group fitness classes starting at age 12 with a parent and at 14 by themselves.

According to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, one quarter of U.S. children watch more than 4 hours of television a day. When you factor in the time spent on computers and other electronic devices, the level of inactivity goes up dramatically. Encourage your kids to get more activity with as much variety as possible!
