Registration Process Changes

We've made some changes to make it easier - and faster - for you to register for our TR programs. Registration will still be conducted in person, so our staff can help you identify the best program for your needs and answer your questions. There is no need to complete the registration form from the Activities and Programs Catalog. Our staff will share a simplified form that will allow you to quickly check off the programs you are interested in. Your payment will be processed immediately, and a receipt will be given to you after you registration transaction is complete.
 
On Saturday, March 10, the line for registration will begin in the staff parking lot near the TR Offices. Please look for signs to direct you to the registration area. You may wish to bring a folding chair to use while you are in line. We look forward to seeing you there!

Staff in the Spotlight: Mallory & Stephanie

 

MalloryMallory Stratton wanted to work with the Therapeutic Recreation Programs because she has a younger sister who has inspired her to work with individuals with special needs. She joined us in 2008 for a summer of fun at Camp Explore! She continued her employment with TR working in several programs, including All Stars and Champions; Swim, Stretch and Tone; Learn to Swim; and Around Town I and III.   

 

Mallory is currently attending Old Dominion University seeking a degree in Public Health with aspirations of getting into Physical Therapy School. Her favorite part of her job is being able to interact with the participants.   

 

StephanieStephanie Montague joined the Therapeutic Recreation Programs in the Summer of 2010 for Camp Explore. Stephanie has a brother with special needs and that has led to a passion for working with individuals with special needs. She has worked in several of our programs including Champions; Swim, Stretch or Tone; Around Town and the Outdoor Challenge Series. She enjoys getting to know the participants and seeing them grow as individuals.  

 

Stephanie graduated from Chowan College with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Science. When she is not working, she enjoys playing soccer, visiting her family in Delaware and spending time with her friends.
