Don't Just Watch... Get In the Game!
Fall 2011 Coed Sand Football Registration
Do you want to make those calf muscles burn? Try playing football - in the sand! It's that time of year again to sign up for our Adult Coed Sand Football league!
Team registration runs through September 9 at the City-Wide Athletics Office located at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex. Entry fee is $675 per team. Get a registration form here. There is no residency requirement for this league.
Sand Football is a non-contact, coed flag league that has been around for over 20 years. The game is played 6 on 6 with a minimum of two females on the field at a time. Teams may carry up to 15 players.
Games consist of two 40-minute halves and are played on the beach at the Oceanfront on Sunday mornings from October through January.

New VBgov.com Website to Launch September 9
 Big changes are coming to VBgov.com! The City of Virginia Beach's website has been completely redesigned based on direct feedback and requests from our users, as well as the city's desire to implement technology improvements. Some notable additions and enhancements to the website include:

- A media center containing video and photo galleries
- Mobile accessibility that is compatible across all major smartphone formats
- A visually appealing design that highlights our beautiful city through the use of imagery
- An interactive Map Center featuring layering capability and an improved graphic interface
- A design that is compatible with multiple browsers on multiple platforms
- An improved search with auto-suggestions as you type
