Save the Date for Artisans in the Park
Saturday, August 6, 10 am - 5 pm & Sunday, August 7, 10 am - 4 pm at Great Neck Park
Explore the works of over 75 artists and craftsmen during our 36th annual art and craft festival, Artisans in the Park - all in the serenely secluded backdrop of Great Neck Park (2513 Shorehaven Drive). This free two-day event offers you the unique opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy Virginia Beach's summertime weather while discovering the originality of local and national artists displaying, demonstrating and selling their original art and fine craft wares.
A wide array of art forms comprise the festival including pottery, metal and glass work, photography, jewelry, drawings and paintings, and sculptures. All work is of original design with the artists on site. There are artisans who throw pots, turn wood, paint pictures, blow glass, forge metal, and photograph beautiful landscapes and wildlife, including beach and historic settings in Hampton Roads.
Stop by the Main Stage for live music including smooth jazz, oldies and easy listening. Children will enjoy the free activities on Saturday including music, interactive crafts, storytelling and face painting. The playground at Great Neck Park was recently renovated as well, allowing better access for kids of all ages and abilities.
A variety of food concessionaires will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage, pitas and more! Smoothies, lemonade, kettle corn, ice cream and even funnel cake will be available too.
Parking is available at Cox High School (corner of Great Neck Road & Shorehaven Drive), with free shuttle bus service to the nearby park.
