Earth Day Exhibitor Opportunities
 Do you belong to an organization that is committed to protecting the environment? Do you own a business that promotes going green? Have an idea how to make everyday life more eco-friendly? Then you should consider joining us as an exhibitor at our annual Mount Trashmore Earth Day Event!
Held this year on Sunday, May 1, this event is a great opportunity for your group or business to reach thousands of like minded people in a fun and engaging outdoor celebration. There are two exhibitor categories: non-profit and commercial. There will be no fee for participating non-profit exhibitors unless selling a promotional product, then a $150 fee will apply. Save the Date! Cherry Blossom Festival: April 2
Help us celebrate Virginia Beach's international sisterhood with Miyazaki City, Japan, at the 7th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday, April 2 at Red Wing Park (1398 General Booth Blvd) from 11 am - 3 pm. Enjoy the rich culture and beauty of Japanese music, martial arts, creative activities and various demonstrations. This is a family event that allows everyone to come together and embrace the nature that surrounds us.
Featured performances will celebrate all City of Virginia Beach Sister Cities, including songs from Sons of Norway (representing Sister City Moss, Norway) and key entertainment from the Kempsville Middle School Band representing Sister City North Down County, Ireland.
Food and beverage are available for purchase. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair for the performances. In the event of inclement weather, the events will be postponed until Sunday, April 3, at the same time and place. Admission and parking are free.

Space Available in Extreme Outdoors Spring Break Camp!
If you're a parent that has to work during Spring Break week (April 18-22), you can still ensure that your child has a week full of exciting activities. Our Extreme Outdoors Spring Break Camp is for youth ages 9-14 and includes archery, canoeing, kayaking, rock wall climbing, swimming and more!
The camp will meet daily at Seatack Recreation Center at 9 am and camp runs until 5 pm. The cost of the camp is $150 for the week. Registration continues as space is available. Register your child online or in person at any recreation center.

Learn to Live a More Sustainable Lifestyle
Would you like to learn more about living a sustainable lifestyle? Well, you're in luck because on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27 the 2011 Sustainable Living Fair will be held at the Webb Center, located at the Old Dominion University (49th Street, Norfolk). There will be a variety of workshops that can help educate you about various topics pertaining to sustainable living, including gardening, soap-making, pet food labels, edible landscape, holistic living and more. The workshops are from 10 am - 6 pm on Saturday and 11 am - 4 pm on Sunday.
