In 1985, while playing the par-3 17th hole at the Bangkok Country Club in Thailand, Dave Hickler hit his tee shot into a water hazard. Amazingly, the ball bounced out of the water and onto the bank. In an incredible stroke of luck, the ball had struck a foot-long carp that was swimming near the surface of the water! |

During the dog days of summer, you may see staff members running around the course with a water hose. The proper application of overhead irrigation and hand watering is essential to the greens' health.
