is a learning league that is geared toward a non-competitive and fun environment.
Registrants must be at least 10 years and no older than 17 on or before April 1, 2010. There are only 32 spots, so register
your child early. All practices and scrimmages will be held at Bayside Rec Center. Swimmers will be assigned practice times based on their swimming ability during the eligibility swim on March 18. The league will practice twice a week from March 23 to May 20. Membership card is required.
Reminder: Best All Around Nominations Due March 1
Do you know youth who stand out for their leadership, community involvement, positive influence or who showed courage in overcoming adversity? Do you know adults who contribute to the community through their outstanding and inspirational work with youth? If so, consider nominating them for one of Virginia Beach's Best All Around Awards.
Nominees must be in one of two categories:
1. Youth who live in Virginia Beach and are enrolled in grades 1 - 12
2. Adults who volunteer or work with Virginia Beach youth (such as a coach, teacher, mentor, social worker, probation officer, etc.)
Nomination forms are available online at VBgov.com/YOO. The Best All Around program is sponsored by the Virginia Beach Youth Opportunities Team and Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation.
