Come Ride the Vortex - New at Bow Creek!

Bow Creek SlideIf you want to experience the fun with Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation, you must include a stop at Bow Creek Recreation Center's pool where a bright blue, ten-foot high closed flume slide awaits you.  After climbing the spiral staircase to the top, nineteen feet of corkscrew runway hurtle you to the inviting pool below!

Slide operational hours will vary from month to month and can be found on the Bow Creek Pool Calendar- just look for the key code "OP w/ SLD" (open swim with slide).

Bring the whole family and beat the summer heat in the pool at Bow Creek Recreation Center!  Parents, please note: children must be supervised by an adult when using the slide.
Take Your Mark - GO!

New to the winter swim league?  Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation offers an intramural winter swim league with emphasis on swimmer development and fun in a low-key competitive environment.  Each team will swim regular season and championship meets during a season that runs from November to February.  Teams practice twice a week under the supervision of experienced coaches, building competence in each of the four competitive strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly) as well as learning starts and turns.

For more information, please visit our website at VBgov.com/swim or contact an aquatic supervisor at any of the six recreation centers.
