Every month I tell myself I'll have this newsletter out earlier and it seems I get further behind.  We've added so many events lately that its hard to keep up.  The events are a good thing, my "keeping up" is not.  In May, we added  "Dinner and a Movie" on Monday nights.  This month we add "Party on the Patio" Saturday afternoons at 3PM.   Basically great live music on Saturday while you enjoy an afternoon break.  We have moved "Open Mic" night to Thursday's during the summer.  Friday and Saturday nights we feature a local band. 

 

We expand our AfterWords menu this month with the introduction of our own roasted and smoked items such as ribs, beef brisket, turkey, pork, and chicken all roasted with apple wood, hickory etc.   While we have the capacity to merely provide great barbecue our goal is to intensify our fresh homemade menu with items roasted to our standards.  Watch our menu evolve with the introduction of AfterWords Roasted items.

This month my Grandson Riley turns one.  Seems like just yesterday, Beth and I were making the mad rush to DC to welcome him to this world.  He's doing great and with any luck I will be there for his first birthday.  Seems that I've had about the same timing with Words and AfterWords.  Just yesterday I was trying to get the courage to open a bookstore and slightly different cafe' in Hardy.  Blink and its been 3 years.  My how time flys!
