Silent auction for the Woodcock Nature Center June 2.  Artists interested in donating to this silent auction please contact them at www.woodcocknaturecenter.org

100% of the proceeds support the Woodcock Nature Center which is a nature preserve and environmental education center located on the border of Ridgefield and Wilton.

2nd Annual

Juried
Member Show

The Ridgefield Guild of Artists opened their 2nd Annual Juried Member Show on May 12.  First prize went to Lewis Cohen for his sculpture of Mixed Found Objects, Ironing It All Out.  Second and Third place prizewinners were Priscilla Prentice for Water Mixable Oils, Happy House, and Amy Schott for Untitled Mixed Media piece.

Summer Arts Camp   

This summer will mark our 4th fabulous year for the Guild's Summer Arts Camp.  July 2 - August 10, 2012

 

We will be blasting off another fabulous Summer Camp with some great workshops!  Returning will be Express Yourself, Project Runway, Knitting, Sculpture, and Photography - with many new projects!  New sessions will include Art Can Move, Bloomin' Flowers, Murals for Kids.
Also, this summer, we will be offering a much requested session for 5-7 year olds - Art Can Move.  Visit our website for more info at rgoa.org.

35th Annual Juried
Show   

The Guild is very pleased to announce that Steve DeFrank will be the juror for the 35th Annual Juried Show in September. Mr. DeFrank received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts, and he is currently an instructor at SVA for the Visual and Critical Studies and the Fine Arts BFA programs. Mr. DeFrank is an award-winning sculptor who trained in painting. He has had solo exhibitions at Penine Hart Gallery, Clementine Gallery and Clifford Smith Gallery in Boston, and the Margaret Thatcher Projects, and he is represented in the permanent collections of the New Museum of Contemporary Art and the West Collection.

RIDGEFIELD GUILD OF ARTISTS
is a regional and community-based art organization that promotes the visual arts and arts education by providing high quality gallery space for exhibitions, art classes for children and adults, opportunities for artist-in-residency programs, and art lectures on-site and in collaboration with other cultural organization.
