Summer Camp Goes Wild
SUMMER CAMP EXTENDED! Our summer camps have skyrocketed to the stars in popularity so we've added an additional week!
EXPRESS YOURSELF AGAIN! (August 10 - 14) This workshop will continue with Phil Smith in the morning session (10am-12pm) that will include poetry and visual art. Kim Hanna will teach the afternoon session (1-3pm), which will include working with clay.
The week will include a variety of mediums and art on different surfaces. Returning campers will build on skills already learned and further discover their natural tendencies. NEW campers are also invited to join in this week as all projects will be fresh and exciting.
SUMMER CAMP EXHIBIT: KIDART Exhibit Opening: Sat, Aug 15, 1 - 3pm The Guild will host an Opening in the Upstairs Gallery and Studio. On exhibit will be the fantastic creations of our summer campers. All are invited to share in this delightful afternoon of visual treats created by our young artists.

From the Treetops July 18 - August 16 A show of generous guild artists who donated bird/branch work for the Guild's 2008 Festive Home
Congratulations to all the artists showing in 'From the Treetops' exhibition. The opening reception was very well-attended and audiences continue to come through the galleries in record numbers this summer season. Upstairs Gallery RGA's Upstairs Gallery has been the site for three member artists exhibitions this spring and summer. Paola Lazzaro, Mary Louise O'Connell and Sara Conklin each had a month-long, one-person show, which brought in many gallery goers. All three artists reported that their openings were well attended.
The Upstairs Gallery provides a reasonably priced venue for emerging member artists to show their art. Call the Guild or more information if you are interested. Upstairs Gallery exhibit schedule: Rachel Volpone: Sept 15 - Oct 14 Herm Freeman: Oct 15 - Nov 14 Festive Home Small Works: Nov 20 - Dec 20 Kim Hanna: Jan 2010 32nd Annual Juried Show Enter the Guild's 32nd Annual Juried Exhibition! Continuing our long tradition, the Guild will welcome submissions to the 32nd Annual Juried Exhibition, which will run this year from Sept 27 through Oct 31.
Artists in all mediums, from throughout the north-eastern US, are welcome to enter up to three pieces for on-site jurying at the Guild's gallery/studio barn.
Work will be judged this year by Amy Smith-Stewart, owner/director of Smith-Stewart gallery in New York and MFA instructor at the School of Visual Arts, also in NYC.
Ms. Smith-Stewart will select all work for the exhibition and select prize winners, who will receive cash awards.
