Call for Entries: 7th Annual Juried Exhibit

Theme: Inside-Out

Personal View / World View: There's a lot happening in the world now, turning our lives inside-out. Grass-roots movements world-wide remind us to think globally and act locally. Artists are the coal mine canaries of contemporary culture. How does your art examine our shared conditions, experiences and zeitgeist? Do you see yourself from / on the inside or outside?

Our Juror: Anna Shapiro

is an interdisciplinary artist concerned with social and ecological issues. She has received awards and residencies for her sculptures and installations; her studio is in Providence RI. She has been Director at Firehouse 13 in Providence, Director at the Boston Sculptors Gallery in Boston and Gallery Director at Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton. She is currently a board member at the Steel Yard and artist, catalyst at Waveylady Studio. Anna has spoken on panels, has published in alternative papers, and is known as the "wavelady" for her ongoing performance about making waves.
