ABOUT SETHEYNY:

  • Setheyny is an artist, musician arts administrator, and educator.   

  • She graduated from Montserrat College of Arts in 2005 with a BFA in sculpture.

  • In 2007 she earned her certification as an art educator.

  • Her professional associations include the Arts League of Lowell, UTEC, ADAMS Project, COOL, Angkor Dance Troupe, Revolving Museum, CMAA, Lowell National Historical Park Service, Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts, UMASS Lowell Art Department, and the Cambodian American Students Alliance.

  • Setheyny contributes her set design skills to Flying Orb Productions.  

  • She can be seen around the greater Lowell area in her music project, the electro-acoustic duo Loup Garou.

It is with pleasure that the Board of Trustees of 119 Gallery announces our new Executive Director-- Setheyny Loeub-Pen.

 

Many wonderful things have happened since 119 Gallery opened its doors on Chelmsford St. in 2005, and Setheyny Loeub-Pen has been with us all the way. Setheyny began serving on our board before the gallery even moved in to its new space, and since that time, she has stepped up to help us in every role imaginable. Setheyny has produced music and events at the gallery, she has organized talks and "Blenders," and as co-curator she has produced over half of the gallery's outstanding exhibits for several years.

 

Setheyny's many roles managing the gallery, as well as our interns and volunteers, have helped to make us a thriving organization. With generous funding from the Parker Foundation, 119 Gallery has been able to name Setheyny our new Executive Director. We are ecstatic to have someone who knows the gallery and its mission so well at our helm. Congratulations Setheyny!
