Step into September

Step into an an exciting installation at 119 Gallery. The gallery was busy this summer, even during brief our hiatus. In addition to a new shiny floor on the inside and a  new mural by Mike Dailey on the outside,  the gallery reopens in September with an exciting new installaton by our first artists-in residence-- Claire Elizabeth Barratt and Patrick Pierce.

119 Gallery's New Mural
debuting this September
Mike Dailey
When asked about his
intention, Mike stated that the mural, "reveals itself to me." We are looking forward to seeing it when it is finished.
Life is Art is Life is...
 (gallery installation and performance series)
September 1 - 27th.

This fall, sculptor Patrick Pierce and movement artist Claire Elizabeth Barratt collaborate to present a two-part project, "Life is Art is Life is..."-- which they created as summer gallery artists-in-residence. The installation includes metal and wood sculptures, sound, video, written word and objects. Performances will integrate dance, music, poetry and sculpture; each performance echoing elements of the subject matter, and further developing and altering the installation.

Join us for performances by Claire, Patrick and guest performers. See
the gallery's website and calendar for events schedule.
