Greetings!
If you're reading this, congratulations. It means you've survived the holidays! We've got a great lineup of events for you in the new year, and we're kicking it off with a fantastic exhibit featuring the artists of the Fort Point Arts Community. Stop in to check it out and stay for Written Not Written, a noise act from Germany or energize yourself with some Brom Yoga.
The beginning of the year also marks the beginning of our production of The Vagina Monologues. Looking to get involved? We need actresses as well as volunteer staff. Give us a call for more information.
Hope to see you soon!

Ras Moshe and The Jeff Platz Goup
Free music at its finest
Although trained in earlier forms of
jazz, Ras Moshe's preferred mode of improvisation is in the later or
"free" developments of the music. He also finds inspiration in
writing and reciting poetry, which he has been doing since childhood. At 16
years old he played alto sax for various roots reggae bands. In the early
nineties Moshe picked up the tenor and decided to pay homage to John Coltrane,
Albert Ayler, John Gilmore and his other favorites on a permanent basis. He
believes in the positive affect that new music has on social and personal
change.
Jeff Platz is a Boston area guitarist who has worked with a variety of U.S. and
European based musicians. Recently the Platz Quintet performed in the 2007
Munster Jazz Festival in Munster Germany; this recording has just been released
on Konnex records. Platz co manages the Skycap Records label based in Munster
Germany. Recently he has released his latest CD on Skycap,
"Gathering" featuring German alto player Jan Klare. Platz also hosts
a monthly improvised music series in Providence Rhode Island, "Strange
Guitar" which features improvising musicians from the U.S. and Europe.
