           Modern Craftsman Collection

Stanley Furniture, an American manufacturer since 1924, proudly presents this new collection consisting of distinctive pieces. Borrowing the best elements of mission, arts and crafts, and the Pasadena school, Stanley Furniture insures that Modern Craftsman showcases the process by which a true artisan would build a piece of furniture. Exposed dovetail joints, posts that come up through tops of cases, stretcher motifs and industrial hardware ~ all create a casual contemporary collection with an almost vintage feel.

Blue Snowflake
The use of solid wood, hammered metal, top grain leather and an assortment of finishes establishes that this is quality furniture. Modern Craftsman is filled with signature items for every room in the house. It's an easy pattern to decorate with ~ and to fall in love with!

Window treatment Connie
    The Finishing Touch: Window Treatments!
           ...featuring Connie Huss

Window treatments are the finishing touch to a beautiful room. They can be romantic, restful, elegant or very exquisite and decorative. There are virtually limitless possibilities for your windows. One needs to start with the basics first. A successful window design uses shades for light control, draperies, toppers, alone or in a combination to achieve a beautiful finished look that is both pleasing and appropriate for the setting. Window coverings should be practical in a sense that they would be needed for privacy or energy saving, yet aesthetically pleasing. One needs to start with the basics first, which of course is the window itself. The type of window and style can determine what type of treatment can be used. There are mini blinds, honeycombs, wood blinds and vertical treatments. Once this issue is addressed, the embellishment starts with the overlays. Think of the treatment as the finish to the room, a pop of color or a hint of sheer, large-scale pattern or very serene print. Layers offer depth while fringe, bullion and tassels Buildingadd a touch of elegance. Play up a child's room with a whimsical cornice or add that warmth to the den with a deep rich fabric. Use a decorative rod to add more dimensions to the treatment. Be creative and always ask a professional for help especially when it comes to doing a final measurement for those custom fitting blinds and top treatments! Have fun and enjoy the finished design!
