Design Tip of the Month featuring....... Gina Burnett

Harmony ~ When designing a great space, harmony is one of the key elements. It combines design, architecture, and furnishings into a pleasing and orderly whole. Harmony is the result of a delicate balance of two principles: Unity and Variety. Unity suggests a oneness and uniformity ~it can be achieved by carrying out a cohesive color scheme or by keeping the character and the style of the furnishings consistent. Unity dictates selecting building materials, furnishings, fabrics, and accessories that all have a similar feeling. Variety--- let's face it....variety is the spice of life! It is a positive influence that brings about visual interest and diversity. Variety can be seen by using a selection of different colors, textures, furniture and accessory styles that all work together in an orderly fashion. Every interior should have its own identity. This can be achieved by working with our interior designers. Art Sample offers free design services to help in all stages and sizes of your project. It is wise and thoughtful planning that sets apart fine design from interiors that lack harmony.

Employee Spotlight.... Matt Taylor
|
Matt has worked at Art Sample Home for 16 years. He has worked in our warehouse heading up our receiving department and manages the inventory control procedures of the store. He is the "go-to guy" when anyone needs help. You'll find him on the computer in the warehouse, organizing and lugging large and bulky furniture around the building, or even helping carry out merchandise to a customer's car. Matt and his wife Karen will be celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary in October! They have two sons, Michael,14, and Jacob, 10. Thanks for all your hard work Matt!
