Mombuzz
A Momventures Newsletter

October 16, 2008
Hi moms!

I hope this buzz finds you well-slept, organized, settled into fall's routine, cherishing your children's special moments, and relishing the lovely warm weather of late.  ....However if this buzz finds you ragged, chaotic, disheveled, bickering with a spouse, barking orders at your toddler for the fourth time, and giving yourself a baby wipes underarm wash after realizing you haven't showered in two days and it's time to go to that mommy and baby class about which you were so excited in the first week of September, then this really is the right buzz for you.    :-D

Mombuzz is my attempt to connect you ecclectic Calgary moms with passionate Calgary groups, clubs, associations, and events.  Perhaps most importantly I hope to help connect us to each other.

Many of you may remember that I tried to keep up with the countless worthy events to pass your way via jam-packed emails a while back.  Well now it's one more kid and at least a year or so later, and I have come up with a more efficient way to communicate to satisfy my passion to share!

For this first iteration of what I plan will be many issues of Mombuzz, I'll focus on getting the word out about local events upcoming this autumn of 2008.  I plan in future issues only to grow in detail and depth, including contact information for groups, clubs, and associations, along with the quintessential events listings.

Either a friend of mine or I personally am involved or associated with most of the events listed below.  I welcome your questions, feedback, and suggestions.

Hope to catch up with you this fall- perhaps at one of these events!

This is your chance to purchase unique, creative hand made purses, bags, scarves, hats and more for a great cause.  There are lots of fun baby and toddler items new this year!

A member of the group that crafts many of these items says, "We really do have some beautiful and well crafted items. Go early for the best selection. Items that are good go quickly and the prices are very reasonable given all the work that is involved in making the items. Hope you can support this worthy cause."

All profits go to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, helping to ease the plight of African grandmothers struggling to raise their orphaned grandchildren.

Cheques or cash only please.
