Poem by Gary York, a homeless person in Texas
Gary and his wife are a homeless couple in Ft. Worth, Texas. After their house burned down in Oklahoma City, they walked to Ft. Worth and have been living on the street ever since. My friend John, runs a homeless ministry in Ft. Worth to help the homeless. They came across Gary and found out he had written several poems. Here is one they got from him and sent it to me. I have read it on my Radio Shows and had several requests for it so I decided to run it here. In these troublesome times some people tend to complain because their Starbucks is cold or their thermostat doesn't keep up...this might bring you back to reality.
" I've had hard times, no end in sight I'm in a tunnel and there's no light
Each day I struggle to get by It's harder and harder just to survive
The roads I travel are long and rough You are cold and hungry, there is never enough
I hit rock bottom and lost my way I fell on my knees and started to pray
The Lord Blessed me that very night At the end of the tunnel, He was my light
One lesson He taught me, I will cherish each day Just a little Faith goes a long, long way
From that day forward I was never alone Lifes Journeys are to hard to make it own your own
Remember this lesson and cherish it each day Just a Little Faith goes a long, long way."

End of Year Planning If you would like to talk about taking advantage of protecting your retirement savings in 2011, better hurry. Maybe you want to talk about converting your Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA under the current rules, better hurry. Maybe you want to talk about using Life Insurance as an Estate Tax Sponge. Unless they change it at the last minute, 2011 will bring back the one million dollar exclusion and then will go to 55% Estate Tax for your beneficiaries. You can protect them using Life Insurance. Ask me how. Also, if you don't have Long Term Care Insurance, there are a couple of options you may not know about...a Long Term Care Annuity and a Index Universal Life with a Long Term Care Rider. Great stuff. Let's talk about your options. |

Bail Out of Wall Street
I'm always amazed when people keep bragging on how great the Stock Market is, "just hang on it will turn around" your "financial advisor" keeps saying. When the market hit its peak in 1929, it took until 1934 for it to 'turn around' with a full recovery. Do you have 25 to 30 years to recoup your losses?
This was in the Wall Street Journal last week. Uncle Sugar loaned $3.3 trillion to these companies to keep them afloat:
Goldman Sachs - $600 billion - they came back to the well 84 times.
Morgan Stanley - $9.7 billion - came back 200 times
JP Morgan Chase - $17 billion
Black Rock - $11.7 billion
Reserve Funds - $19.4 billion
...and then Bernanke said, after infusing $217 billion "Money Market Funds were never insured investments".
If you would like to talk about how to REALLY INSURE your retirement,
give me a call...but hurry. |
