MERRY CHRISTMAS
I read this Poem on Sunday's Radio Show and had so many requests for it, I decided to run it here in it's entirety. Enjoy.
Twas the month before Christmas When all through our land, Not a Christian was praying Nor taking a stand. See the PC Police had taken away, The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing, About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things. It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say December 25th is just a ' Holiday Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it! CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda. As Targets were hanging their trees upside down At Lowe's the word Christmas - was nowhere to be found. At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears. Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton ! At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter. And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree' Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me. Choose your words carefully, choose what you say Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
Not Happy Holiday ! Please, all Christians join together and Wish everyone you meet during the Holidays a
MERRY CHRISTMAS |

Joy and Prosperity Throughout the Bible, joy and prosperity are Siamese twins. Psalm 30:5-6 "...joy cometh in the morning. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved". The Lord even takes pleasure in my prosperity according to Psalms 35:27 "Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant." He has fun when I prosper. Ecclesiastes 7:14 "In the day of prosperity be joyful". Romans 12:11 "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord." I Timothy 6:17 "trust...in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy." Look at Psalms 34:9-10 "for there is no want to them that fear Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." No "wants" for "good things". Good things still mean good things, good clothes, good cars, good tools, good houses, good toys, good food...GOOD THINGS! Psalms 84:11 "no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly." Psalms 103:5 "Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." Isaiah 1:19 "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land." Don't let anyone tell you that you cannot have good things that make life easier or more fun. "Let God be true and every man a liar." You can have the good things in life and have the life to enjoy them. Or you can continue to just "exist" and miss out on the "good things" of life. Your choice. |
