Pipeline Toolbox 2012

New Updates:

  1. Restrained & Unrestrained Pipeline Stress Analysis(4 new modules)
These modules are designed to assess the structural behavior of steel pipelines affected by the properties of the pipeline soil envelope, pipeline support design, construction, local and temporary stresses... and other influencing loads. The calculations are based on, and comply with ASME B31.8, Part 833 for gas pipelines and ASME B31.4, Part 402, for liquid hydrocarbons pipelines. The maximum permitted values of both individual stresses and combined stresses are compared against the calculated values to see if the resulting pipeline stresses meet the criteria from the above standards.
  2. Reaction Force in an Open Discharge System
This new module is based on API RP 520 assessment procedure for compressible fluids. The calculation of the reaction force includes the effects of both momentum and static pressure.
  3. New Software Module for Buoyancy Analysis
In addition to the current module for pipeline buoyancy control by concrete coating, this new module provides for buoyancy control using Bolt-On or Set-On/Saddle concrete pipeline weights. The calculation will provide the required spacing of concrete weights.
  4. Updated Help & Reporting
  5. Updated US DOT Pipeline Regulations
