Jonathan Beck is a fifteen-year-old Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts of America South Plains Council. Only two percent of scouts achieve the Eagle Scout rank, one of the program's most desired ventures. Jonathan started with Boy Scouts when he was eleven, looking for adventure and outdoor activities. When he first joined four years ago, he was ready for new experiences and looked forward to making lasting friendships.

Over the years Jonathan has moved up in his ranking and has gained leadership roles. Jonathan has acquired many valuable skills since first becoming a scout and is able to apply these skills in all areas of his life, such as school and football. Boy Scouts of America has provided Jonathan with many opportunities and learning experiences. Jonathan now has knowledge in leading others and serves as a great example for the younger scouts to follow.

Boy Scouts of America is more than just a program. It provides young men with life-changing experiences and a sense of accomplishment. Jonathan explains his time as a scout thus far as "a lot of fun with a chance to be part of something bigger."

Jonathan is an ambitious and well-rounded young adult who has set high goals for himself. He plans to attend West Point and ultimately serve as a field surgeon in the United States Army.
