Thanks for subscribing to our 2-1-1 Big Bend electronic newsletter.  If you have any suggestions for future editions please email me.

Spring is in the air and I hear a rumble in the jungle.  Join us at our April 16 fundraiser at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum.  Tickets are only $50.  Come casual or dress in theme (Escape to the Jungle).  Food, drink, casino games, DJ, dancing and silent auction.  Help support suicide prevention and 24/7 hotline services in our community!

Last chance to get your taxes prepared before April 18.  If you know someone who needs help with their tax form, tell them to call 2-1-1 for a referral to a free tax assistance site.

I hope to see you in the jungle on April 16!

Your Jungle Escape Awaits!

Only two weeks away - Saturday, April 16

April is National Minority Health Month

2-1-1 Big Bend recognizes National Minority Health Month by highlighting its two statewide numbers aimed at keeping families healthy from birth to adulthood.  The Family Health Line (800-451-2229) and Parent Helpline (800-352-5683) provide support to families seeking counseling about pregnancy, infant/toddler issues and parenting concerns.  Many of these challenges are linked to the need for good health and nutrition.  To learn more about National Minority Health Month visit the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health.
