CSAHelp Beth Jacob Buy Vegetables for Kiddush

Beth Jacob is looking for donations to contribute to the purchase of CSA shares from Martha & Geoffrey Black, local farmers who are members of Beth Jacob. The 3 shares we would like to purchase from their Avodah Farm would be used to provide produce for Kiddushim over the summer.  The cost of each share is $550; donations of any amount are accepted.

If you would like to contribute, click here or contact Cynthia Launer at [email protected] or 612-824-7165

Beth Jacob will also be a Avodah Farm CSA pickup site for those who would like to buy a share personally!

Exchange_student_5-12

Pacific Intercultural Exchange (PIE), a nonprofit agency, is currently searching for a Jewish host family for a Jewish exchange student from Belgium who is due to arrive in August.  Lisa is from Belgium.  She is a native French speaker who also speaks English, she has medical insurance through the program, and her own spending money.  Lisa enjoys dance, reading, going to the movies, shopping & travel.  She would be most comfortable being placed with a Jewish family.  A host family provides a room, meals, and a caring environment for their student.  Lisa would attend the local public high school where her host family resides from September through June.  For more information about the program, please contact Mary Armstrong at 952-236-0745, email: [email protected].
