 Shir Shacharit Services for the entire shul will start in the Saide Chapel with its close, intimate setting, allowing the room to be filled with our prayerful voices. As we conclude both Pesuke D'zimra and Shacharit, we will make our way to the main sanctuary for Torah reading and the remainder of Shabbat davening and learning. The Shaliach Tzibur will be Jonathan Erlich. |

Twin Cities Commemorate Yom HaShoah Thursday, April 19, 7:00 pm Beth Jacob Congregation The commemoration will reflect the theme, "UNsilenced: Voices of the Holocaust," featuring performances by Janet Horvath, solo cello; Heather MacLaughlin, piano; and Ovation, the Small Ensemble of One Voice Mixed Chorus, Minnesota's GLBT Choir (Jane Ramseyer Miller, artistic director and Randi Grundahl Rexroth, vocal coach).

Twin Cities Celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut Sunday, April 29  Minneapolis and St. Paul Jewish communities will come together in St. Louis Park on Sunday, April 29 to celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israeli Independence Day. Activities will include a walk, musical entertainment, a marketplace and traditional Moroccan food. The Twin Cities are one of numerous communities around the U.S. hosting a walk to honor Israel's Independence.
A solidarity walk will kick off the festivities - rain or shine - at 1:00 p.m. in Nelson Park, next to Peter Hobart Elementary School, 2500 Georgia Avenue South in St. Louis Park. Participants will walk along the North Cedar Lake Regional Trail ending at the Minneapolis Sabes Jewish Community Center (JCC), 4330 Cedar Lake Road South. The celebration will continue at the Sabes JCC - inside and outside - with music, dancing and activities for children of all ages. Free parking with shuttle service to all events will be available at both Beth El and Temple of Aaron. Shuttle service will run from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., ending at 4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Scholarship Available to Support Jewish Families with Children with Autism
At age two and-a-half, Jay and Esther Goldberger's son was diagnosed with autism. Over the years, the Goldbergers were able to provide him with social and educational services offered through their school district, as well as private therapy and services that were covered by their health insurance. They knew that many other families struggled to pay for similar services. So they decided to start an endowment fund to help Jewish families provide services to their children with autism.
The Jay and Esther, Gary and Alise Goldberger Family Scholarship for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder was established through the United Jewish Fund and Council of St. Paul to help Jewish families in the greater St. Paul area with children ages 12 months to 18 years old who have the disorder.
