Thanksgiving 2011
Greetings!

What an incredible privilege! What a rich and wonderful blessing! What an honor to teach and lead our own children through Home Education. Each year during this season, I look around and see the thousands of families choosing to invest time, energy, and love in the future young men and women. What a beautiful sight. It makes all of us at HomeLife Academy smile ear to ear. But, honestly, I think it makes God smile even bigger! May God bless you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving. We have so very much to be thankful for. -david parkerson

 The First Thanksgiving
Did you know that Governor William Bradford organized the first Thanksgiving feast in 1621. He invited the neighboring Wampanoag Indians and the celebration lasted three days.
Lobster, rabbit, chicken, fish, squashes, beans, chestnuts, hickory nuts, onions, leeks, dried fruits, maple syrup, honey, radishes, cabbage, carrots, eggs, and goat cheese are thought to have made up the first Thanksgiving feast.

The pilgrims didn't use forks; they ate with spoons, knives, and their fingers.
