STUDY STILL PROVES TRUE! | |
In the broad spectrum of history, home education is nothing new-parents have been teaching their children for centuries. American history is full of men and women who were taught at home, from colonial patriot Patrick Henry to President John Quincy Adams to inventor Thomas Edison.

| I stink at maintaining balance. | |
~Deborah
TOS Magazine.
Some of you have it all together (totally not fair!), but I stink at maintaining balance. I can easily be overwhelmed with homeschooling, working part time, mothering full time, and ministering all the time. I have lamented to my husband, "I can't make it all happen. I can't be all things to all people. I just can't do it anymore."

HLA grants its own high school diploma. Therefore, our requirements are set by HomeLife Academy and not by an outside state education agency such as the T.N. Department of Education or any other state department. We are proud of our graduates in Colleges/Universities all over the country. We are equally proud of our grads now in jobs serving people and in homes serving families.

Archived Newsletters can be found here. We are hard at work on the next round of grade specific newsletters. We are also writing and compiling content for future blogs and other media. Our goal has always been to "inspire and equip" families to teach their own children. Anything we can do to help you and your children will be a blessing to us! |

| Fall in Love with Homeschooling! | |
Be sure to remember this is all about the kids. Don't try to keep up with the Jones'. The statistics are true not because everyone is doing the same thing. On the contrary, homeschooling works because kids and parents are set free. Listen to your heart and ask God for guidance everyday. Concentrate on developing "A Heart for Learning" (article by HLA founder, David Parkerson) and remember "You Can't Get an Education from School Books" (by John Taylor Gatto). And FALL in love with Homeschooling! |
