Homeschooling is not a perfect science. What matters most is that we see our children, that they feel our affections, and hear our praises. These virtues, if practiced everyday, cover our own weaknesses, shortcomings and imperfections as parents, and puts the "duty" of home eduction in proper perspective. -david

Greetings!
I started this newsletter about 3 or 4 times. I thought about sharing some information about testing, or learning styles, or scheduling. But nothing seemed to feel right. Then I remembered how, when we get this far into the school year, we all just need something promising. Hope this helps you as much as it has helped me today. :-)

"When you are going through the tough, crazy times and feel you're in survival mode, look for God's affirmation and grace for your homeschool. It's always there if you just look for it. God loves all of us so much and has a wonderful plan for our families. Trust Him to lead you through the tough times, even when things aren't the way you hoped. Don't focus too much on what you aren't getting done or give in to discouragement. Keep things in perspective. While academics are certainly important, eternity is the most important. God sees the big picture and is in control. His grace can cover all of our mistakes or shortcomings. Ultimately He is actually the one doing the work and has promised to complete it. | | Graduates HomeLife Academy continues to grow. We have now graduated 1316 students!! That is so exciting. We continue to make improvement to our website and member login areas. We are adding staff and counselors, and desks and computers. We love, love, love serving you and your family!
Welcome to the Staff Tara Chamley started in Aug. of 2010 and does a wide variety of things in the records office. She's terrific! We have some more new staff members to introduce to you but we have to collect some good pictures from them first. 1576 Facebook Fans! We're having a blast with the HLA Facebook Fan page. We post questions like, "What are your favorite books?" We add details about events, photos from the staff, and favorite quotes of all times! Join us for some fun networking and share HLA with your own friends.
